“When I decided to move from Singapore to Dublin with my young family, having never really been to Dublin before the prospect of buying a house was a daunting one!

“Being based in Sydney Australia the prospect of buying into the Irish market was challenging but something my wife and I really wanted to achieve. Shane from Eldron Property was recommended to us by 3 separate sources all independently so we decided to reach out despite not having an intention of engaging a buyers agent. This turned out to be a great decision and in hindsight is the only reason we managed to successfully buy a property in April ’18.

Navigating the loan conditions set out by the banks for an overseas ‘buy to let’ purchase were beyond frustrating, but Shane assisted proactively on every step. He supported us by finding properties that fitted the criteria, providing detailed videos of his inspections of each property, arranging valuations, building inspections, rental income and yield expectations from approved valuers.

When the time came and we finally decided on the property and confirmed the loan approval, Shane negotiated hard and secured a E5000 discount from the owner/agent despite it being in a hot Dublin 4 property market. Post purchase Shane has project managed all renovations, and has recently secured tenants and will property manage the house on our behalf at a 6% rental yield.

Would I recommend Shane and Eldron property? Absolutely! In fact if you are an Irish ex-pat looking to buy back home I’m not sure you could successfully achieve your goal without Eldron on your side. Best money we ever spent.”
